Delete your Lusis account

You can delete your Lusis account and all of its associated data at any time. This page explains how, and what happens to your circles, subscriptions, and shared history.
How to delete your account
From inside the app (recommended)
- Open Lusis on the device where you signed in.
- Go to the Circle tab → tap your profile, or open Settings.
- Scroll to Delete account and follow the prompts.
- You'll be asked to type your display name to confirm. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
By email (if you can't sign in)
If you no longer have access to the app, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my Lusis account". We will verify the request, delete your account within 7 days, and confirm by reply when it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (display name, avatar, email, phone)
- Your full location history
- Your saved places and geofences
- Your check-ins and trip records
- Any pending join requests
- Your authentication account
What happens to your circles
If you are the owner of one or more circles when you delete your account:
- If the circle has other members: ownership transfers automatically to the longest-tenured member. The new owner is notified and the circle keeps running. Your data is removed from the circle's history.
- If you are the only member: the circle is deleted along with all its associated data (saved places, history, etc.).
If you are a member (not the owner) of a circle, you are simply removed and the circle continues for everyone else.
What happens to your subscription
If you have an active Lusis Boost subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel the subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play (Android) or Apple (iOS) and you must cancel them separately:
- Android: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
- iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions
The circle you boosted will keep its boost until the end of the paid period, even after your account is gone. After that period the circle becomes dormant unless someone else boosts it.
Retention
Once your account is deleted, your data is removed from our live database immediately. Encrypted database backups are retained for up to 30 days for disaster-recovery purposes and are then permanently destroyed. We do not restore individual accounts from backup.
